Gillian, a friend from church, asked me to knit her some cupcakes. After searching for some patterns on the internet I finally decided to design my own pattern.
This year I am knitting Easter items for charity. Here is a whole batch of freshly hatched chickens, rabbits and ducklings:
These little toys stand 7"/18cm tall (including ears). I first made them as little gnomes when my nephews were little. This year I have decided to turn them into rabbits. Here is just one of them. (More may follow ...)
11 years ago we halved our income overnight, and have managed on one part-time income ever since. We are raising our two children and have paid off the mortgage on our house - basically because we learned to become very frugal.
Not only did we learn to, but we learned to love it too!
Being frugal with our resources - whether that is energy, money or time - really makes complete sense!
Being a Christian, I am reminded that God provides for us.
I have also learned that even if we have little, there is always enough to give some to others ... and there are always plenty of people who are in greater need!
So I am grateful for what we have - our family and friends, our health, our income, plenty of family time together, and this wonderful life to share with each other!
